IE Services (Izandla Ezincedanayo Services) (“IE Services”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”) and other applicable South African law. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through https://www.ieservices.co.za, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to job seekers who apply for roles through this site, employers who submit staffing requests, and anyone who contacts us via our contact form, phone, email or WhatsApp.
2. What personal information we collect
- Job seekers: full name, email address, phone number, CV/résumé (including work history, qualifications, certifications and references it may contain), and any information you choose to include in a cover note.
- Employers: company name, contact person, phone number, email address and details of your staffing requirement.
- General enquiries: name, email, phone number (optional) and the content of your message.
- Automatically collected: basic technical information (such as browser type and pages visited) and cookie preferences, used for site functionality and analytics.
3. Why we process your information
We process personal information for the following purposes:
- To match candidates with suitable job opportunities and manage the recruitment/screening process;
- To respond to employer staffing requests and provide recruitment, temporary staffing and recruitment outsourcing services;
- To respond to general enquiries submitted via our contact form;
- To comply with our legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations; and
- To improve and secure this website.
4. How your CV and application data is used
When you apply for a role, your details and CV are submitted into our recruitment/CRM system (Joiin Flow), where they enter our candidate screening pipeline. Authorised IE Services staff review this information to assess your suitability for the role you applied for, and (with your implied consent from applying) for other roles that may suit your profile. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Sharing your information
We may share personal information with:
- Prospective employers, where you have applied for (or been matched to) a specific role with that employer, so they can assess your application;
- Service providers who support our operations (such as our recruitment/CRM platform and hosting/data-storage providers), under appropriate confidentiality and data-processing terms; and
- Regulators or authorities, where required by law.
We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. Data retention
We retain candidate and employer information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described above, including keeping candidate profiles on file for potential future opportunities, unless you ask us to delete your information sooner (see Section 8).
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure, including access controls and secure data storage with our service providers.
8. Your rights under POPIA
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you;
- Request that we correct or update inaccurate or outdated information;
- Request that we delete personal information we no longer have a lawful basis to keep;
- Object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances; and
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe your rights have been infringed.
